The XE1200 SATA-2 RAID Series are designed to offer high performance, high reliability and are much more cost-effective
in comparison with Fibre to Fibre, Fibre to SCSI and/or SCSI to SCSI RAID subsystems. XE1200 RAID systems support 4Gb
Fibre Channel host or dual Ultra-320 SCSI host interface connections and utilises cost-effective SATA-2 disk drives with
a simplified storage setup and management process which make the product line ideal for small to mid-sized companies and
departments.
Outstanding Performance
The XE1200 utilises the latest high performance Intel Xscale 80321 processor and intelligent cache system which supports up to 1GB of internal memory for data caching. This enables the host computer to simultaneously distribute multiple requests to the connected SATA-2 hard drives with high speed parallel data transfer.
The RAID Array offers web configuration and system diagnostic monitoring via an onboard standard Ethernet connection to simplify the process of remotely configuring/reconfiguring and monitoring the RAID subsystem
The XE1200 supports up to five internal RAID arrays/RAID sets of the same or different RAID levels for multi-application support.
The Array utilises an advanced 64-bit PCI-X bus system architecture
The XE1200 utilises a proprietary ASIC chip within the RAID Controller to support the high performance demands of RAID level 6
The unique RAID Array management firmware utilises multi-tasking real-time kernel technology to enable higher efficiency in data transfer.
Firmware-embedded SMTP manager monitors all system events and the system user can select either single or multiple user alerts to be sent via plain text e-mails.
"Single drive per independent channel" architecture of the XE1200 IDE RAID system not only provides high data throughput per channel but also eliminates overhead disk multitasking in order to increase the data transfer.
High Availability
Advanced algorithms provide RAID levels 0,1, 3, 5, 0+1 & 6 options. The user can benefit from either the performance and availability of RAID 0+1 or the capacity and economy of RAID 5 and RAID 6.
The hot-swap redundant power/cooling fan systems are able to tolerate a mains failure without interrupting or taking off-line user/client services.

Automatic drive failure detection & automatic online drive rebuilding enables you to replace the hard drive without having to initiate any complicated and time-consuming storage rebuild process. The XE1200 RAID system will transfer the data into the new/replaced hard drives automatically.
